On Monday, 17 June Starlight will grant Joseph’s once-in-a-lifetime wish to have his book, The World published!

Ever since Caitlin saw Alfie Boe play Jean Valjean in Les Misérables in 2011, she has been his biggest fan! Caitlin’s wish was to sing with Alfie and Starlight arranged for her to meet her hero in Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena. Together they sung Tell Me It’s Not True, which was a dream come true for Caitlin!

Sport-enthusiast Jake decided that a snowboarding adventure in the Alps with his family would be the perfect escape from the daily routine of medication, physiotherapy and hospital visits. The trip was a dream come true for the family and Jake was a natural on the slopes!

Becky has always dreamed of performing on a West End stage and, with the help of Starlight Ambassador Tom Chambers, the charity granted Becky’s dearest wish in style! Tom was starring in hit musical Top Hat at The Aldwych Theatre and with the help of the Top Hat team, Becky was invited to dance and sing with the whole cast and to do a special number with Tom. The evening was a dream come true for Becky and she brought the house down with her dazzling performance!

Mandy Painter has raised thousands of pounds for Starlight in memory of her son Joshua Coates and her wonderful efforts have been recognised in the New Year Honours.

On Thursday 16th August Popham Airfield in Hampshire was transformed in to an amazing open air wonderland for 400 seriously ill children from hospitals and hospices across Hampshire and the South of England at the 16th annual Starlight Popham Escape Day.
