At Starlight, we believe that every child deserves to have a Happy Christmas.  Unfortunately, we estimate that at least 20,000 children will spend time in hospital over the festive season.

Give them more than Chemotherapy this Christmas…

Children like Megan & Gracie.  These identical twin sisters have been fighting leukaemia together since being diagnosed within a few days of each other back in September 2009.  It’s a long and painful journey, which is why we think Megan, Gracie and their family all deserve a real treat this Christmas.  With your help, we’d like to grant their greatest wish of all… to visit Santa in Lapland!

Every Christmas we send Starlight families on once-in-a-lifetime trips to meet Santa in Lapland, Finland.  For some of the families we send, it will be their last Christmas together.

With your help, we’ll fly Megan, Gracie and their family out to Finland, where they’ll stay in a snug chalet with a roaring fire.  They’ll experience a husky dog sleigh ride, a trip to a snowy enchanted forest, and of course, the chance to meet the Big Man himself!

Lifting the spirits of hospitalised children…

Being in hospital can be a scary experience, especially for young patients – and equally hard for their brothers, sisters and worried parents too. Starlight Parties, complete with clowns, face painters, party food, decorations, party packs, games and goody bags, create a positive experience for the whole family, lifting children’s spirits with laughter, magic and fun!

The Starlight Christmas of Happiness is about restoring the magic of Christmas for seriously and terminally ill children.  Help us grant their once-in-a-lifetime wishes and bring festive entertainment to children’s wards throughout the UK.
