Stanley was diagnosed with Crouzon Syndrome in infancy. Crouzon Syndrome is a genetic disorder characterised by the premature fusion of certain skull bones. This early fusion prevents the skull from growing normally and affects the shape of the head and face. Stanley has been through, and will continue to go through, invasive surgeries, but he is always so brave.
Stanley has always been fascinated with rockets so it came as no surprise that he wished to visit the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and go inside a real space rocket!
Starlight arranged for Stanley and his family to visit the Kennedy Space Center where they enjoyed a full behind the scenes tour of the launch center. To top the visit off, the Kennedy Space Center arranged a very special treat for Stanley… to meet a real astronaut!
“Words cannot express what Starlight has done for Stanley, he was in his element. It gave us all the opportunity to truly enjoy the magical experience of a once in a life time holiday.”
