Tis the season for sparkles!

Starlight Children’s Foundation are so excited to continue to be partnered with iconic fashion brand, Luella!

As we head towards the end of a uniquely challenging year, it’s our ambition to raise £300,000 to give 30,000 seriously ill children the chance to play this Christmas.

Over the next two months, you can purchase their Sparkle Cashmere Jumper, and Luella will donate 10% from every purchase so that we can reach this goal.

Why not add a little sparkle to your Christmas this year and purchase one of their jumpers, giving you something beautiful to wear, and giving a child a chance to play this Christmas.

We are proud to partner with Starlight to help them reduce the isolation and anxiety that serious illness and long hospital stays bring to the families they work with. We hope that our customers will feel good inside, knowing that their purchase comes with that extra sense of purpose.

Starlight’s Magical Mystery Quests!

Lockdown was a strange time for all of us, but here at Starlight it gave us a chance to truly understand what some of our families deal with on a daily basis as they have to shield. Whilst restrictions eased for most of us, lots of our lovely families had no choice but to continue to isolate.

With this in mind, throughout the summer holidays we put on a virtual Starlight Escape each week for our families to enjoy.

At Starlight we truly value the power of play and distraction as necessary tools in dealing with the difficulties our families face every dayThrough the wonderful character of Captain Fantastic and a fabulous Magical Mystery Quest, our families were whisked away from their own front rooms and plunged into a world of laughter and wonder.

These parties were a chance for the children interact with other children, sing, dance and distract themselves from daily life and we are so glad we could help in some way!

This summer has been so strange with no summer camps running or opportunity to see other children. As Lucienne is an only child and I work full time, it has been lonely for her at times. She was delighted to have an opportunity to chat with other children before the party and to have fun and entertainment to add novelty to her day.
