Individual Giving Manager
The Individual Giving Manager role will see you lead on Starlight’s individual giving products, working across the Public Fundraising Team to help recruit individual donors, and retain them and steward them appropriately. It requires an individual who can work with autonomy and demonstrate entrepreneurial skills to help innovate across the team, drive a collaborative way of working across the charity, and help the Fundraising and Marketing directorate to deliver an ambitious income plan for 2022-23 and beyond.
The role will also support the Head of Public Fundraising to devise and implement Individual Giving fundraising activities and initiatives (on- and offline) in order to maximise on donor engagement, increase income and acquire longer term support in line with the Fundraising Strategy.
Community Fundraising Manager
As the Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll lead on our community and challenge programme, working across the Public Fundraising Team to help recruit individual donors, fundraisers and community groups across the UK. Digital fundraising is a big part of our future and you’ll be responsible for exploring the potential of specific digital fundraising products and campaigns and using them to generate income for our services. As well as focusing on maximising the effectiveness of our current community and challenge event fundraising activity, you’ll identify and build relationships with new communities of supporters, diversifying our products through a testing and evaluation process, to inspire and support them in raising valuable funds for Starlight.
You’ll be able to work autonomously but as part of a team and your entrepreneurial skills will help you drive innovation and collaborative way of working, with the ultimate goal of helping us deliver on our ambitions fundraising plans for the year ahead (and beyond).
Community and Challenge Events Coordinator
As Community and Challenge Events Coordinator, you’ll help protect play for seriously ill children by using a range of fundraising products, both digital and traditional, to increase our supporter base. You’ll proactively develop our current supporter communities, establish new ones and recruit volunteers, third party donors, organisations and companies, at the same time maximising the lifetime value of each supporter.
You’ll be able to work autonomously but also be a real team player, pitching in where needed. You’ll love working with supporters and volunteers to make things happen and have a passion for driving fundraising for our cause.
Starlight uses the power of play to make the experience of illness and treatment better for children and their families. Central to the delivery of our work is the use of evidence and data that is used to inform our decision-making and to influence change that meets our strategic objectives in an impactful, sustainable and effective way.
This role will be pivotal in driving our insights work forward and transforming our services, evidence and impact. The Research Manager will provide programmatic management to our research, participation and evaluation activities. They will also manage on Service Impact Coordinator and one Service Insights Coordinator, report to the Head of Insight and Impact and working alongside the Service Delivery Managers, they will take the lead in bringing our evidence based charitable purpose to life for children and their families.
Service Impact Coordinator
As part of our strategy, we are looking to further our understanding the impact of our services, enabling us both to expand our reach to bring these services to more children and to innovate to develop new state of the art, more impactful services and attract funding. This role will be pivotal in driving our insights work forward and transforming our services, evidence and impact.
This role will report to the Research Manager and work alongside the Service Insights Coordinator. The person in this role will be pivotal in implementing our evaluation framework, monitoring our impact and driving our insights work forward whilst ensuring that we can continue increasing our impact.
HR & Recruitment Officer
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Resources, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of all Human Resources matters throughout the employee lifecycle, as well as working on policy and process development. You’ll be a real recruitment partner to our managers, helping them translate their needs into job descriptions and find the right recruitment approach for their roles. You will also support the smooth and safe running of our small but busy office, with some health and safety and contract management responsibilities.
