Heart Radio chose to work with Starlight after the national rebranding of local radio stations under the Heart banner. Our partnership aimed to help Heart Radio reconnect with regional audiences whilst raising money for Starlight to change the lives of children in hospitals and hospices in local communities around the UK.
Starlight worked regionally with Heart employees, presenters and listeners to deliver 6 weeks of fun and fundraising, including a week long on-air appeal that reached an estimated 7.3million listeners. In the studios, presenters were joined by lots of Starlight volunteers, celebrity guests and Starlight children.
Our partnership raised an incredible £400,000 to support the manufacture and national launch of over 100 Starlight Fun Centres, which are helping hospitalised children to cope better with treatment, feel less pain, play together and encourage healing and recovery.
