Find out more about the skipping challenge

Q. Do I have to do all 100 skips in one go?

No, you can do as many sessions of skipping as you like throughout the day, as long as you hit 100 total by the end of each day. So you could do 25 when you get out of bed, another 50 just before lunch and then your last 25 of the day before brushing your teeth, it’s completely up to you!

Q. What if I or someone I’m doing the challenge with can’t skip due to a disability?

We want this challenge to be accessible to all.  Please click the below button to read the accessibility information for this challenge.

Q. Do I have to raise a certain amount of money to take part in the challenge?

Whilst we’ve set a target of £50, whatever you can raise is fantastic, just try your best and have fun doing it.

Q. How do I get my free t-shirt?

All you need to do is fill in the form in our Facebook group. We aim to get your t-shirt to you within a week, but if you haven’t received it by then please email us at [email protected]

Q. When will my t-shirt and skipping rope arrive?

Your t-shirt and skipping rope can take up to five working days to arrive, so please bear with us. If it has been longer than seven working days, please get in touch with us.

Q. How do I set up my fundraiser?

Once you’ve joined the Facebook group, there’s a pinned announcement at the top of the page that outlines the 3 simple steps you need to take to get all set up.

Q. Can children join in?

Absolutely, although unfortunately we don’t have t-shirts in children’s sizes. But we can send extra trackers if you email us at [email protected] . We suggest they share your Facebook fundraiser as you need to be over 18 to set up a Fundraiser on Facebook. We are also selling very similar t-shirts through Teemill for our Freedom to Play campaign which do come in children sizes and all profits come straight to Starlight.

Q. What if I don’t complete the challenge?

That’s ok, the only thing that matters is that you challenge yourself. Do as much as you can. Every skip helps!

Q. Can I take cash donations?

Yes – you can collect cash donations and pay directly to us online. But please let us know that you are paying online so we can allocate the donation to you.

Q. I can’t find the answer to my question, can you help?

Of course we can! We have a dedicated team here who are happy to support you so please get in touch. You can contact us on 020 7262 2881 or by email [email protected]
