Our top five tips

  1. A little Starlight fundraiserMake your page and your thank you text your own. This is your space to tell people what you are doing, why you have chosen to fundraise for Starlight and why their support is important.
  2. Add in a photo or two.
  3. Email the link to your friends and family. Tell them why it is a challenge for you. Make it humourous. Anything to grab attention and get them clicking.
  4. Use your social networking skills to tell the world. For example, use the status update to tell all your Facebook friends you’ve just set up your page.
  5. Update the page occasionally – add in some recent news, a setback you have overcome, description of the hours of training or update the picture (it will give you an excuse to email the link around again). To update, simply login and edit.

Please note – your fundraising page and any amendments you make to it will need to be approved by a Starlight administrator before it is published on the website. This may take 4-12 hours.
