CAPTAIN STARLIGHT IS VISITING HOSPITALS AND HOSPICES ACROSS THE UK.
CHECK OUT WHAT THE CAPTAINS HAVE BEEN UP TO THIS WEEK:
We love brightening the lives of seriously ill children, not to mention their (just as special) brothers, sisters and families.
Today it was actually a sibling that shined a little brightness of their own.
We landed our rocket ship on the roof of Birmingham Children’s Hospital and had just finished visiting some cool kids when in marched a five-year-old girl named Seren.
“Excuse me Captains I have a baby sister next door who would like to see you.”
“Wait babies can’t talk. How did the baby tell you?” We asked.
“I can speak baby language” Seren explained “Also when I’m by myself I become a singing fairy”
“Great let’s hear you sing fairy sister” we squealed with excitement and pulled out our ukulele.
“Wow, it’s a baby guitar! I love singing!!! Let me teach you!!!” Seren exclaimed
Seren made us take note as she taught us all of the words (and actions) to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Old MacDonald and Diamonds by Rhianna.
She made us do a dance off, make balloons for her sister and she even gave us a few pointers on the ukulele.
We gave Seren a huge high five and congratulated her on being such a brave big sister while her little baby sister was very sick in hospital.
But the most amazing thing was when Seren told us what her name actually means… wait for it… Seren means star!!!
She may only be five, but with Seren’s star people managing skills, she has our vote for the next PM of Britain.
