Seven-year-old Cora has been fundraising for Starlight and has raised an incredible £800!
Cora was born with half a heart and underwent her first open heart surgery at just one day old. Last year, Cora travelled to Euro Disney by train with Mum, Dad and sister Zelie for her wish-of-a-lifetime.
Cora has since been fundraising for Starlight by holding a toy sale at her Junior School and chopping off her ponytail! On Friday 13th December, Cora had her hair cut so that she could donate it to the Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment. Cora loves her new ‘messy max’ haircut!
When Mum, Deborah, said that their efforts will have made two other families very happy – the family whose child now has a wig, and the family of the child who will have their wish granted – five-year-old Zelie said “No Mummy, we have made three families happy, we are all happy too!”
The leftover toys from the toy sale will be given to the Salvation Army who will gift wrap them and deliver them to children who would otherwise have nothing at Christmas.
Thank you Cora, Zelie, Mark and Deborah!
