To complete a full marathon would be a magnificent feat for any grown man but for six-year-old Harry Maggs from Henley‐on‐Thames it was an extraordinary achievement! Harry heard about Starlight during a talk at school and decided that he wanted to raise funds for the charity to help grant wishes for seriously and terminally ill children.
As he was hoping to secure sponsorship from friends and family, Harry knew it had to be a big challenge. After a lot of thought, he decided to do a marathon, which amounts to 26 miles and 385 yards, by running 1 or 2 miles every day during his school holiday and at weekends. Harry completed his ‘Monster Marathon’ on Sunday 12th January at 8.15am. Well done Harry!
