The Theatre Academy's young fundraisers

In Windsor, Berkshire, The Theatre Academy has been busy entertaining audiences with their acclaimed production of The Sound of Music and helping Starlight Children’s Foundation make wishes come true at the same time.

Staged at The Theatre Royal Windsor in February half term, talented members aged between six and twenty-six performed this much-loved musical with spine-tingling vocal The Theatre Academy - The Sound of Musicharmonies and beautifully choreographed dancing. After each performance members of the cast rattled the buckets and entertained the audience as they left the theatre and were thrilled to raise over £2500 for their efforts.

Director Eddie Dredge said ‘as a theatre group made up of children and teenagers who love to perform, Starlight’s aims are dear to our hearts. It is really pleasing that we can do something to help Max and others have their wishes come true and our cast are always really keen to help collect. We look The Theatre Academyforward to hearing about Max’s experience as a stand-up comedian.’

The Theatre Academy is busy rehearsing for their next production, Annie, at the Theatre Royal Windsor June 5th-9th.
