Starlight and NAHPS (National Association of Hospital Play Staff) are delighted to launch the National Play in Hospital week drawing competition. Whilst National Play in Hospital week isn’t until 8th October 2012, we are launching a competition to find the picture that best illustrates the importance of play in hospital. This picture will be used on all promotional and marketing material for the National Play in Hospital week campaign across the United Kingdom.
Who is it for?
The competition is for children aged up to 18 years of age and their siblings who are currently or have recently been in hospital, whether for inpatient stay or for an outpatient visit.
How do we enter?
Each child that wants to enter the competition will need to draw their picture on the template. There is a template aimed at children and a template aimed at teenagers – please print as many as you need. Please ensure the form is signed by a parent or guardian.
Who do we send our entries to?
You can post entries to Play in Hospital week, Bianca Green, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Third Floor, 227 Shepherds Bush Road, London W6 7AU. Alternatively you can scan and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org or bring them with you to the NAHPS Conference in Birmingham on Tuesday 26th June. We advise collating all your entries and posting them in one batch.
When is the deadline?
The deadline for all entries is FRIDAY 6TH JULY. Any entries received after this date will not be judged. The competition will be judged by comedian Harry Hill and the winner will receive a fantastic prize. To encourage you to submit entries, the hospital that submits the winning picture will also receive a prize!
