All male group from Kent set its sights on Amsterdam in charity cycle for Starlight

Team Starlight!

London to Amsterdam Bike rideA group of twenty-one friends from Kent is attempting to cycle from London to Amsterdam to raise funds for national charity Starlight.

The 300 mile route will be very demanding on each of the amateur cyclists, particularly as they have set themselves the target of reaching central Amsterdam after just 3 1/2 days. The ride, which will commence on 27th June, will start at Harrods in central London and will take the team to central Amsterdam via France and Belgium.

While seeking support for the challenge, the team approached some high profile names to become involved and, on hearing about the mission, celebrity chef and Starlight Ambassador Mickael Weiss asked to join the group!

Mickael Weiss commented, “I was immediately inspired by the group’s determination and sense of team spirit and I am delighted that they have allowed me to join them on this challenge. Having seen first hand the difference that a Starlight wish can make to a poorly child and their family, I am proud to be supporting this charity and, in my role as Ambassador, making an active contribution to the efforts of some of its wonderful fundraisers.”
