19/07/2011 – This year the Berkshire 4X4 Motor Show, which will raise funds for national children’s charity Starlight, is set to be bigger and better than ever, with an amazing array of vehicles and line-up of attractions planned for Saturday 20th August and Sunday 21st August.
Members of the public are invited to attend the show, which will be held at Mereoak Lane in Grazeley, and enjoy a weekend of family friendly activities and a huge collection of vehicles and machines that will excite and inspire even the most discerning motor enthusiast!
The show, which is Berkshire’s biggest motor event, will feature a parade of vehicles and a Monster Jam top driver with the all new monster truck. It will also include an appearance from the Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs and a fantastic performance from Solent Eagles Children’s Motorbike Display Team. There will also be a range of stands offering delicious locally-sourced food and drinks, a fun fair and helicopter, hovercraft and truck rides.
The profits of this fantastic two-day event will go to Starlight Children’s Foundation, which grants once-in-a-lifetime wishes for children with serious and terminal illnesses and provides entertainment in hospitals and hospices across the UK. There are currently 16 very poorly children in Berkshire waiting for their once-in-a-lifetime wishes to be granted and the money raised by the show will help Starlight to bring their dreams to life.

Starlight grants a once-in-a-lifetime wish for seriously and terminally ill children, restoring the magic and fun of childhood and giving the whole family happy memories to share, whatever the future holds.
Starlight also creates entertainment in every hospital and hospice throughout the UK. Sick children go to Starlight parties, laugh their way through pantomimes, go out on Starlight Escapes, play games and watch films on the Starlight Fun Centre, and enjoy the toys and puzzles of the Starlight Distraction Box. Happy children respond better to treatment and Starlight helps children to forget about their illness and simply have a bit of fun.
You can make a donation online or by calling us on 020 7262 2881. For every £1 you donate, Starlight can assure you that 91p goes towards helping very ill children. To refer a child for a wish, simply complete our wish referral form.
