06/02/12 – When his brother Charlie was given the devastating news that he had a rare form of cancer, 24 year old Ryan Leach was determined to do whatever he could to bring some much-needed laughter and distraction to Charlie and other seriously ill young people like him.
During his treatment, Charlie was referred to Starlight by CLIC Sargent. The charity organised for Charlie to join British racing driver Oliver Webb, who is a supporter of Starlight, for a dream day out at the legendary Silverstone circuit.
Having seen how much this experience benefitted Charlie, his brother Ryan decided to organise a once-in-a-lifetime challenge that would allow him to raise funds for Starlight. In March, Ryan will cycle from Cape Wrath to Lands End and he hopes to complete the staggering 986 miles from the top of Scotland to the bottom of England in just ten days!
