Seriously and terminally ill children are flying high at Popham

Starlight Escape at Popham Airfield

The 17th annual Starlight Escape Day to Popham, which was held on Wednesday 14th August 2013 at Popham Airfield, was a magical taste of summer for hundreds of very poorly children from hospitals and hospices across the South of England.

During the day, the young guests were able to fly in aeroplanes and helicopters, ride ponies, take turns on the carousel and even zoom around the airfield in sports cars, hovercrafts and on motorbikes!  Also keeping the children entertained were magicians, face painters and lots of giant games!

A huge thank you to Popham Airfield Manager Dick Richardson, his fantastic team and all the supporters and volunteers that made this day such a success. To read more, click here.
