Harry Hill judges a very special X Factor themed talent competition at UCHTV comedian Harry Hill, who is currently writing the X Factor Musical, recently visited University College Hospital in London to be a judge at a very special X Factor themed talent competition in celebration of National Play in Hospital Week.

National Play in Hospital Week (8th – 14th October) was founded by National Association of Health Play Specialists (NAHPS) and is being organised for the second year by children’s charity Starlight Children’s Foundation.  It aims to raise awareness of the benefits of play in the treatment of children and it will be celebrated by hospitals and hospices across the UK with a week of play-focused activities and events.

Harry, who formerly trained as a doctor, helped launch this year’s National Play in Hospital Week and the event at University College Hospital, which was funded by Starlight, was an opportunity for him to see first hand how play is helping some of the young patients to better manage their pain and respond to treatment.
