Georgia, who has cerebral palsy, was so happy to be in Lapland.
Georgia was one of thirteen children on the trip who had asked Starlight if they could meet Santa. Starlight granted those wishes by whisking the children and their families off for a magical adventure. Georgia struggles to walk without sticks or a frame and needs a wheelchair to help her get around, but that didn’t stop her from enjoying and taking part in every activity. Georgia’s mum said: “It was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Flying into Kittilä, well within the Artic Circle, the children were taken to a little village called Yllasjarvi, where they stayed in log cabins surrounded by trees and lots of snow!
There was so much excitement in the air and everyone enjoyed the adventure to a very different land. They took sleigh rides, built snowmen, went on a fast and furious husky ride, and fed carrots to reindeer. But of course, the highlight for all was meeting Santa in his log cabin in the middle of the forest!
