Bradley’s VIP day at the BBC

Bradley, who has cerebral palsy, was granted his dearest wish to visit BBC TV and Radio studios.

Bradley loves music, and his dream is to one day be a national radio disc jockey. Bradley gets lots of practice doing what he loves most at St Luke’s hospital in Bradford, where he hosts his own radio show with his portable DJ unit.

Starlight picked Bradley up in a limousine and whisked him to the BBC Radio studios in Leeds, where he was treated like a true VIP!  He watched the live broadcast from behind the scenes; met presenter Johnathan I’Anson, who showed him how the studio operates; and got advice from technical manager Phil Taylor, who also shared his knowledge with Bradley.

Bradley said: “Thank you so much for my wish, I really enjoyed the tour  … and meeting the radio team was very exciting. My passion for radio and music allows me to forget about my disability and lets people know me for who I am and not focus on my condition.”
