Emma, from East Sussex, had ‘the best day of her life’ when her dream of meeting Frank Lampard came true.
Emma, who has cystic fibrosis, and her family spent more than two hours with the Premiership and England star. Emma’s mum Jane said: “I would like to thank Starlight for making not only Emma’s day, but our day, too. Emma and Jordan loved the very special day even though I think they were a little shell shocked!! Frank Lampard was brilliant and just so good with Emma. He went off and got our lunch and then ate with us. He held Emma’s hand and sat her on his lap — she thought it was brilliant!”
And the day got even more extraordinary when England captain John Terry wandered over for a chat and gave her four signed Chelsea shirts. She also chatted to Joe Cole — another hero of hers.
“Emma has a lot of horrible things in her life to cope with, and in the past few months, she has been quite poorly, so the timing was perfect and she said it was the best day of her life,” her mum said.
Starlight supporter Scott Minto organised this wish and many of the other football ones, too. Thank you Scott!
