Evian stars on CBeebies ‘i can cook’

Evian saw his dream to be on CBeebies i can cook come true with the help of Starlight Children’s Foundation, the UK’s leading wish granting charity for children with serious and terminal illnesses.

Diagnosed a year ago with neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that occurs in childhood, Evian has had to battle with his illness and endure rigorous treatments to combat the condition. According to his mum, Claire, Evian has always been a happy little boy and he has remained firmly so, even at the lowest points.

Brave Evian has always loved CBeebies and, as an aspiring cook in the kitchen under the watchful eyes of his mum, the BBC cooking programme i can cook was a dream for him. The adventure began with a night in a London hotel and a trip to the tropical-themed Rainforest Café, London’s largest family restaurant in the heart of the West End. The following day, Evian and his mum were taken to the studio where they were treated to a VIP backstage tour before Evian made his appearance on the show.

Claire, Evian’s mum, said: “Evian really enjoyed going on the show. As a family, it’s been a really tough year. Despite this, Evian has always remained chirpy and I think it really made a difference that he had something to look forward to through the darker moments. Thank you Starlight for giving us a happy day that we will always remember!”
