Ollie lives in Herefordshire, and his one wish in the world came true when he had a lesson with his hero, motocross ace Tommy Searle.
Ollie, who suffers from leukaemia, has been riding since he was just four. He couldn’t believe his luck when he found himself on a private track riding his motorbike with the future world champion.
Eighteen-year-old Tommy Searle, who holds the title of second in the British Championships, was delighted to share his tips and experiences with Ollie and made the circuit look easy.
Ollie’s parents were invited to share in the experience, along with his 12-year-old brother Max, who is also a massive motocross fan. Max joined Tommy and Ollie on the dirt track. Neither of the brothers could actually believe they were riding with Tommy Searle!
The boys had a fantastic day riding and described the experience as ‘awesome’.
Ollie’s mum said: “The last three years have been a challenge for Ollie, both physically and mentally, due to the ill effects of chemotherapy. He lives and breathes motocross so the wish was perfect. Everyone treated both my boys with such kindness and generosity, both with their time and patience. They were real heroes for my little hero, Ollie.”
