Holy Cross Pre-School’s Charity Day in aid of Starlight made the local newspaper – and you can see why when you look at the photos!
There were stars and sparkles everywhere, on party clothes, old T-shirts and outfits the children had made themselves. The children made a star wall, where they practiced writing their names, they baked star-shaped pastries, made star wands and crowns and generally had a wonderful time.
With a whole range of different fundraising activities, the staff and parents did an amazing job of helping Holy Cross break their previous fundraising record and raise a fantastic £690 to help Starlight make even more sick children happy.
Deputy nurse assistant Natalie Lynch said: “The whole day was really good fun and helped to make them more aware about charities whilst raising a lot of money for children in hospitals.”
