Aggie MacKenzie

Aggie shot to fame back in 2003 as one half of the nation’s dream cleaning team on Channel 4’s hit series How Clean Is Your House?  Her role as Dirt Detective was to investigate the science and health implications behind the filth.

Aggie is a regular on Daybreak, The Wright Stuff, BBC Breakfast, Richard Bacon’s show on BBC Radio 5 Live, Today FM in Dublin and The One Show, where she comments on any number of subjects, from the psychology of hoarding to the perennial female dilemma of big-pants-versus-thong.

In 2009 Aggie was invited to join a panel of housing experts from the world of politics, media, design and academia, chaired by Lord Best, in order to identify key issues in the future provision of housing for the elderly. The panel visited exemplar projects in the UK and Europe and delivered their report to Government last December.

She helped Starlight grant a totally unique and utterly charming wish for six year old Leon, who dreamed of spending a day cleaning with her and Kim, his favourite TV stars. Leon’s wish was filmed as part of the documentary series about the charity, Starlight: For The Children.
