The Starlight Grand Prix Auction - place your bids!

Starlight is hosting an exclusive online auction to mark the F1 Monaco Grand Prix race weekend, to which the charity usually takes a group of seriously ill children for a once in a lifetime experience.

Starlight’s Monaco Grand Prix online auction goes live on Tuesday 18th June, and prizes include incredible money– can’t– buy items such as a pair of signed Lewis Hamilton race boots from the 2019 Formula One season worth an estimated £6,000.

“For the past nine years we have taken seriously ill children and their families to the Monaco Grand Prix, to have a special experience, to escape the reality of treatment, and to make new friends. As we are not able to do that this year, it is fantastic that we can still celebrate this wonderful event and raise vital funds. We are hoping to raise £100,000 from the auction: I hope that F1 and car fans out there bid and get their hands on some wonderful unique prizes whilst and donating to this worthy cause.” - Sarah Woods, Director of Fundraising and Marketing

The charity is also giving F1 fans the chance to get their hands on Max Verstappen’s Aston Martin Red Bull Racing F1 Suit, complete with Aston Martin Red Bull certificate of Authenticity which will also be up for grabs for the highest bidder. The auction also includes an exclusive chance to win Jeremy Clarkson’s famed jeans!

Other prizes include a VIP experience at Goodwood Festival of Speed, including access to Goodwood House balcony and the sponsors enclosure, worth an incredible £1,700. Or you can also bid on a Family Premium Ticket Package to Virgin Radio’s Chris Evan’s CarFest for two adults and two children including camping, fast track access, access to the premium lounge and garden with privilege view of the stage to watch world class acts such as Basement Jaxx, Happy Mondays, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Faithless.

All money raised will help Starlight to continue to support seriously ill children by providing play and distraction in hospital, at home and at Escapes such as Monaco, to help alleviate anxiety and isolation and provide social connection.
