ICAP Charity Stamp

Geri Halliwell and Starlight fairies at ICAP Charity DayIn 2008 & 2011, Starlight benefitted from ICAP’s (a global interdealer broker) famous Charity Day which gives one day’s revenue worldwide to a carefully selected group of charities each year.  With all the brokers in fancy dress, the Charity Day’s always have an electric atmosphere!

In 2008, famous faces including of Prince Harry, Sienna Miller and Greg Rusedski attended the day. However, Starlight wish child Millie, aged 4, who has leukaemia, stole the show.  Millie, standing on a trading desk, thanked the entire company for her wish to go to Lapland before entertaining them all with a song! Their kind gift enabled Starlight to grant an 150 extra wishes that year!

2011 saw an equally star studded turn out for Starlight with Lewis Hamilton, Tamara Eccelstone and Geri Halliwell all hitting the phones to raise money for Starlight. The trio joined a host of other well known faces including Jamie Oliver, the Duchess of Cornwall, Rod Stewart and Jamie Redknapp, to help ICAP raise an incredible £12.75million for over 200 charities!
