Starlight Tour FAQs

Q: When will the tour be?

A: We know the run-up to Christmas can be very busy, so this year we’re also offering dates in early January. The tour is currently planned for 17 November 2025 to 16 January 2026 (exact dates TBC). We’ll confirm as soon as possible.

Q: What type of space is required?

A: A performance space such as a playroom, gym, or common room is ideal. Performers will bring a set and some sound equipment to support the show. The minimum space required is 5m wide, 5m deep, and at least 3m high, plus additional room for the audience to sit or stand.

Q: What will the performers need?
A: To ensure the performance runs smoothly, the performers will require:

  • Ideally, two roll cages to transport equipment from their van to the performance space, or parking very close to the entrance for unloading/loading.

  • A reserved parking space for a long wheelbase–type van (slightly larger than a Ford Transit), close to the health setting.

  • Access to at least one plug socket.

  • Two named staff contacts to accompany and remain with the company during their time on site.

Q: Can the performers visit patients at the bedside?

A: Yes! Performers are happy to adapt and visit patients who are unable to come to the performance space if needed. However, please note that as we schedule two shows per day in different health settings, there may be occasions where time does not allow for bedside visits.

Q: How many patients can attend?

A: Please consider the size of your performance space and any distancing guidelines in your setting when deciding how many children can safely attend the show.

Q: What is the recommended age?

A: The productions are suitable for all ages, from very young children upwards, and are perfect for groups and families to enjoy together.

Q: How long will set up and pack up take?
A:

  • Set up: Up to 1.5 hours

  • Performance: Up to 60 minutes

  • Bedside visits (if needed): Approximately 30 minutes

  • Pack up: Up to 1.5 hours
