Although the hospital environment may grow to be familiar, they are still away from home, school, family and friends.
We have created a box with resources to brighten up the ward including fairy lights, decals, modelling clay, and arts and crafts. Recreating the familiarity of home or school provides a more calming and inviting environment to play.
Giving children the space and opportunities to play enables them to cope with the negative consequences of their illness and treatment.
