Ken cycles for Starlight
Throughout the month of May, Ken set himself the incredible challenge of cycling 1000km for Starlight. He knew the challenge would be great for his fitness and mental health and also wanted to give back to a charity close to his heart.
Ken’s nieces have cystic fibrosis and the family have received support from Starlight, so he knows first-hand the positive impact our services can have on a seriously ill child.
Protecting play and creating happy moments for those who need it most have been constant motivation for Ken, getting him through the painful and rainy miles!
Whilst I don't enjoy cycling, the discomfort I feel doesn't compare to what seriously ill children endure on a daily basis. It gives me that drive to just keep going!
