We joined BGCG's Charity Day!

Starlight joined in on the fun of the BGC Group Charity Day

We are delighted to have taken part in the 19th annual BGC Group Charity Day alongside our Starlight ambassador, the brilliant Sienna Miller. It's an honour to join BGC Group's fundraiser, which takes place every September 11th to raise money in memory of the brokerage’s 658 colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees who tragically lost their lives on 9/11. 

Every Charity Day, all of BGCG’s global revenues are donated to charitable causes around the world, including ours. To date, their Charity Day has raised over $200 million!

‘I’m thrilled to be taking part in the BGC Charity day today. What an amazing way to create a positive and joyful experience from an awful tragedy. The donation to Starlight will make the world of difference to children in hospital who are going through tough times with their illness, treatment and recovery. The money will help provide opportunities for children to play which is vital in reducing the anxiety, pain and trauma they can often experience.’

We were joined by two special family friends, Valerie and son Kian, and Elin and daughter Poppy, who formed a friendship through attending our Starlight events and are now very close! It was lovely seeing them enjoy the play area, whether it was dancing, meeting animals, or playing air hockey. 

Dozens of celebrities also came together to go to the trading floor at BGC Group and hit the phones to raise millions for charity, including Sienna Miller, Anthony Joshua, Jason Fox and Clare Balding.
